WGUC buys WVXU

Cincinnati, OH – The lower end of Cincinnati's radio dial is in for a shake-up. WGUC is buying WVXU from Xavier University for 15 million dollars. The merger will likely mean changes in what listeners hear on both classical 90.9 and 91.7. WNKU's Jay Hanselman talked with WGUC President and General Manager Rich Eiswerth about the deal. He says it was part of the station's long term plan:

LEAP Premieres at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

Cincinnati, OH – The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park premieres LEAP tonight. It's the first winner of the Mickey Kaplan New American Play Prize. It's set on September 11th, 2001, but WNKU's Maryanne Zeleznik reports it's not really about that historic event:


LEAP runs through March 13th at the Playhouse in the Park.

Bus Fare Hikes debated
