Cincinnati Reds players Jay Bruce, Ryan Hannigan, Drew Stubbs and Mike Leake are teaming up with Global Environmental Services and many of Cincinnati's leading corporations for the third annual "Players for the Planet" e-waste recycling event. The "Players for the Planet" recycling efforts provide a simple and convenient way for Reds fans and citizens of Greater Cincinnati to recycle old electronics such as televisions, computers, radios and VCRs. Have you ever heard of six-word essays or flash fiction? It's a unique genre of writing that focuses on sharing a meaningful story or idea in just six words. The idea of very short stories began before the digital age, but has begun to thrive recently as people share their stories and essays via social networks. The EPA felt that the six-word essay would be a great way to celebrate the environment. The Unites States EPA has launched the Six Words for the Planet project in partnership with SMITH Magazine.
