14 Jan Historic King Records Site at Risk of Demolition

The owner of Cincinnati's King Records building has scheduled a hearing on January 30th to obtain a permit to demolish the site. Because the site was declared a historic landmark in 2015, the owner needs permission before making changes to it. Update: the City of Cincinnati unanimously passed a resolution to begin the process to try to acquire the building. They also declared that three streets in Cincinnati will be renamed in honor of King recording artists Bootsy Collins, Otis Williams, and Philip Paul.
