With NKU's electronic media students on spring break the first week of March, Studio 89 will take a one week hiatus. That gives us the perfect opportunity to replay the first session of 2012 with Hadden Sayers.
Last week, Riverbend announced that Dave Matthews Band would be returning this summer for a show on May 29th. Dave has long been known to showcase acts by having them open shows for his band. More often than not, the bands he showcases are only known to folks like you, the WNKU fan. This tour is no exception as Dave welcomes along a WNKU favorite, The Carolina Chocolate Drops. Tickets go on sale March 9th.
Check out this video from the last time they paid us a visit. It was long ago when our logo was different and we didn't have as many frequencies.

In the spring of 1896, the Windisch-Muhlhauser Brewery hosted some of the most prominent Cincinnatians. Guests enjoyed an elegant meal with beer pairings in the unlikely ambiance of the brewery. Cincinnati's political and social elite enjoyed the experience so much that it became a regular occurrence, and the standard guest list called themselves members of the Beefsteak Club.

Butch Walker started out as a member of acclaimed band The Marvelous 3 and has since enjoyed equal success as both a solo artist and producer. In addition to five studio albums released since 2002, he was named Producer of the Year by Rolling Stone in 2005 and his songs have been hits for artists like Weezer, Pink, Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Panic! At the Disco and many others.
We've been playing Butch Walker & the Black Widows on WNKU since sometime last year and love what we've heard.
We also have our share of fans of the movie, "Dazed & Confused" here at WNKU, so when we saw this video we simply had to share it.
