Meet Pam Temple!

I was born and raised in Cincinnati.  You know how you say you’ll never settle in your hometown?   Well…  I did leave for a while.  I went to college at Ohio State, graduating with a BS in Occupational Therapy.  Huh?  Here I am a musician and radio announcer (sorry Mom and Dad, it’s still there to “fall back on”).  After college I joined the Peace Corps (Costa Rica ‘92-’94) where I actually did use my OT degree.  I started playing music and writing songs when I got back to the States and am in a folk-duo called “wild carrot”.  I came to WNKU through wild carrot when we recorded our first CD with the help of gone-but-not-forgotten Colin Cordy right here at WNKU.  So, I started volunteering as a way to give back for all the support the station has given us.  That was in 1999 and in September 2002 I was offered a “real job” as an announcer.  So, here I am, Sunday through Thursday… unless I’m not… Then I’m on the road making music of my own.  Thanks for listening, and I’d like to join Mark Messerly in encouraging everyone to use their turn signals!
