Hear ye, hear ye: The court of public opinion will now come to order in the class-action suit by disturbed football fans against dopey football players who act like imbeciles in the end zone after scoring a touchdown.

Your honor, the plaintiffs call to the stand a man of great taste, good manners and exquisite judgment –– namely, me.

With encouragement from  WNKU alumni Eric Kuckels I started hosting evening music program on Monday and Tuesday  in the fall of 1991.

My musical interested have always resided in 60's-70's roots influenced Music. During my 4 years at Xavier University I hosted a program called "Retrospect" which was steeped in bay area Grateful Deadish type music.  After a few months with WNKU I suggested we consider broadcasting the annual Grateful Dead New years eve concert via Satellite from San Francisco , after all it had been welcomed with hungry ears at WVXU.  We did, and it was a big success.  Shortly thereafter, we picked up the nationally syndicated Grateful Dead hour which followed with an invitation for  me to  host  a locally-produced program focused on the roots, branches, and influences of Grateful Dead music.  "The Golden Road" gave birth and was hosted by Myself, Pete Delgado, and Dave Gardner.

Over the past 19 years it's morphed and evolved into a program that reflects the individuality of it's current lineup of hosts which includes Andrew Newbold and Ken Hanes.

It's been "A Long Stange Trip" and, hopefully, you can stop in Saturday nights for a heaping dose of some good 'ol Grateful Dead.

The Real Mary Peale Show

The Jelly Pudding Show was created by Frank Wood, Jr. in the 60’s for air on the new classical station owned by his father.  That station was, of course, the now legendary WEBN.  The Jelly Pudding Show aired in the early morning hours and presented deeper album cuts from popular artists.  The show with its album-oriented format became so popular that it eventually led to WEBN changing from a mostly classical format to an album rock station.  As that happened, the Jelly Pudding name went away for a number of years until the new owners of WEBN purchased 92.5 in the mid nineties and the show was revived on Sunday nights with host, Mary Peale.

For years, the Real Mary Peale hosted the legendary Jelly Pudding show Sunday nights on 92.5 the Fox.  In 2008, the owners of the Fox decided they couldn't afford Mary any longer.  Hey, you pay for what you get, right?  So, we invited Mary to join WNKU's Saturday line up, already chock full of radio legends Brian O'D, Little Steven, and Mr. Rhythm Man.  Of course, we can't afford Mary either, but she seems to like us anyway.
